Quid Completes $10M Series C Funding Round

Quid Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based developer of software that locates, collects, organizes, models and visualizes vast amounts of open information from around the world, has completed a $10m Series C funding round.

Backers include Atomico, Ron Conway, Endeavour Vision, Infocomm Investments, Founders Fund, and Charles Lho.

The company intends to use the funding to grow the engineering team (http://www.quid.com/careers.php) to build advanced interfaces and visualizations, and expand its marketing efforts.

Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Bob Goodson and CTO Sean Gourley, Quid is building software that captures, structures, and visualizes large amounts of open information, to help companies and governments make more informed decisions. The company currently serves Microsoft and other international clients.

Max Levchin, PayPal co-founder and founder of Slide (now owned by Google), recently joined Quid’s Board.
