Orège Receives €8M Private Equity Financing

Orège SA, a Jouy-en-Josas, near Paris, France-based company that has developed patented wastewater treatment technologies for complex effluents and sludge from the oil & gas, mining, petrochemical and chemical industries, has received an €8m private equity financing.

The investment was led by Climate Change Capital Private Equity LP, which contributed €6m, with participation from Oraxys SA.

The company intends to use the proceeds to accelerate its expansion in France and internationally through investments into its mobile SOFHYS and SLG units and to enrich specific know-how with dedicated teams in the fields of oil & gas and chemistry.
The investors will also provide industrial connections to support Orège’s growth.

Led by CEO Pascal Gendrot, Orège is an integrated wastewater treatment solution provider. Its patented SOFHYS and patent pending SLG are advanced wastewater treatment solutions that are capable of treating complex industrial effluents (in particular benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes – BTEX – and dissolved Chemical oxygen demand – COD) and de-watering and/or de-polluting sludge in a cost efficient manner.

The company, which employs 40 people, also has an R&D facility in Aix-en-Provence.
