Linx Receives Growth Equity Investment from General Atlantic

Linx, a Brazil-based provider of software, services and eCommerce solutions for retail businesses across the country, has received a growth equity investment of undisclosed amount from General Atlantic.

Existing investor BNDESPar also participated in the capital raise.
Linx intends to use the proceeds to expand its research and development capabilities and geographically. With the support of General Atlantic, the company plans to increase its eCommerce offerings and further executes upon its acquisition strategy (in three years, Linx has made seven acquisitions).

Led by CEO Alberto Menache and founder and Vice President of R&D Nercio Fernandes, the company provides its solutions to retail verticals including apparel, footwear, supermarkets, home centers, drug stores, electronics and appliances, accessories, jewelry, gifts, auto dealers, food service, entertainment and eCommerce.
Linx currently has over 1,200 employees in its headquarters and branch offices. It operates four business units including Linx Systems, Linx Telecom, Linx Logistics and Linx Loss Prevention.
