Kick Sport, a Peterborough, UK-based martial arts retailer, has raised £850k from Catapult Growth Fund.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand in the UK and abroad, as well as to extend its range of own brand leisure clothing and accessories.
Founded in 2009 by CEO Cameron Knowles, Kick Sport offers over 2,000 product lines including its own label clothing and brands including Mooto, Adidas, Arawaza, Daedo, Mizuno, Danrho, MTX, Nike, KSD, Xintian Kwon, and SMAI.
Established in 2007, the Catapult Growth Fund is a £30m venture capital fund that focuses on providing capital – from £500k to £2m – to UK-based businesses.
