Serious Energy Adds GSV Capital to Existing Investors

Serious Energy, a Sunnyvale, CA-based company that provides high tech products and services for building energy efficiency, has received an investment from the publicly traded investment fund GSV Capital Corp. (Nasdaq:GSVC).

Investors already included, among others, New Enterprise Associates and Foundation Capital.

Led by Chairman & CEO Kevin Surace, the company offers a suite of energy software services and advanced building products. The SeriousEnergy Manager is a cloud-based enterprise software system that monitors, optimizes, and controls building energy use using advanced algorithm technology. The recently launched iWindow is a retrofit glass system designed to deliver increased energy efficiency and comfort benefits without replacing the existing glass or altering the exterior appearance of the building. The QuietRock soundproofing drywall solutions enable buildings to increase density and help improve productivity.

Serious Energy’s products have been installed in over 70,000 projects worldwide, including the Empire State Building.

The company has six manufacturing plants and a network of distributors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
