iControl Networks Closes $50M Series D Funding

iControl Networks, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of broadband home management solutions, closed an over $50m Series D funding.

The round brings the total amount raised by the company to date to more than $100m,

Investors include Cisco, Comcast Ventures, Intel Capital, Charles River Ventures, the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers iFund, Rogers Communications and Tyco International, the parent company of ADT Security Services.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate the deployment of its energy management solution and other broadband home management services, and expand internationally.

Led by co-CEOs Paul Dawes and Jim Johnson, the company provides a broadband home management solution (the iControl OpenHome software platform) that is designed to enable broadband service providers, home security companies and utilities to offer interactive life safety and lifestyle services to their customers, allowing them to control and connect to their homes via the web and other mobile devices.
