Altruik Raises $3M in Second Funding Round

Altruik, a New York, NY-based automated search engine optimization platform, has raised nearly $3m in its second round of funding.

Investors include existing shareholders DFJ Gotham Ventures, GSA Venture Partners, First Round Capital, Javelin Venture Partners, Zelkova Ventures, and Hub Angels Investment Group as well as new backers Centurion Venture Partners and New York Angels.

The company closed a $4.7m Series A financing round in November 2009 (read the news).

Led by CEO Eric Gertler, Altruik has developed an automated platform that is designed to streamline the SEO process, and simplify the implementation of much needed SEO transformations on a client’s native website. The solution complies with the terms and conditions of the leading search engines. It integrates with all content management systems.

The company intends to use the new capital funds to expand its sales and marketing efforts. Altruik already serves with many e-commerce companies, mainly in the home improvement and retail clothing areas.
