ADmantX Closes $2.8M Funding with Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno

ADmantX, a Hartford, CT-based company that offers an advanced semantic page-level analysis designed to surface reader emotions, behaviors, motivations and intentions in order to match ads with similar emotional appeal, without using tracking cookies, closed a $2.8m first external funding with Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno.

The company intends to use the funds to expand in key international markets, starting from the USA and Western Europe.

Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno, a Milan, Italy-based €25m venture capital fund managed by Intesa Sanpaolo, will own a minority share in ADmantX while Expert System, the global provider of semantic software from which the company spun out last year, will maintain a majority stake.

Using the Semantic Web, Natural Language Processing and Social Collaboration features, ADmantX is designed to enable publishers, ad networks, ad exchanges, brand managers and agencies to develop effective online advertising campaigns that establish emotional connections with consumers.
