SUPER HEAT Games Closes $1.6M Series A Venture Capital Financing

SUPER HEAT Games, designs, develops, and markets collectible action sports trading card games, has closed a $1.6m Series A venture capital financing.

The round was led by Diamond Ridge Ventures and DFJ Frontier.

In conjunction with the financing, Josh Swartz, a general partner at Diamond Ridge, and Scott Lenet, a managing director at DFJ Frontier, will both join the company’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand development, marketing, and sales efforts for its skateboard-themed collectible trading card game, SUPER HEAT Skateboard Trading Card Game, which will be launched nationally on May 24.

Led by CEO Robert Reynolds, SUPER HEAT Games recently entered into a multi-year partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., to distribute the SUPER HEAT Skateboard Trading Card Game throughout both North and Latin Americas.
