Sudhir Srivastava Robotic Surgery Centre Receives Investment from Intel Capital

Sudhir Srivastava Robotic Surgery Centre (SSARSC), an Indian provider of advanced robotic surgery procedures for several specialty areas, received an equity financing of undisclosed amount from Intel Capital.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to launch 8/10 centers across India and advance the use of robotic platforms for tele-training, tele-mentoring, tele-surgery and development of automation for specific procedures.

Sudhir Srivastava Robotic Surgery Centre, which operates as The International Centre for Robotic Surgery, focuses on areas including cardiac, urology, thoracic, gynaecology, orthopaedics, head and neck and gegeral surgery.

The funding comes from the $250m Intel Capital India Technology Fund.
