Eightfold Logic Closes $2M in Series C Funding

Eightfold Logic, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a cloud-based social writing application designed to make it easy for helps writers, bloggers, journalists and marketers to create more relevant and shareable online content, has closed $2m in Series C funding.

Investors include existing shareholders Rho Canada Ventures, Castile Ventures, Formative Ventures, and The Entrepreneurs’ Fund III.
The financing brings the total amount raised by the company to date to nearly $20m.

Led by Chairman and CEO, Mark Hoffman, Eightfold Logic has launched InboundWriter, a cloud-based application that helps writers understand their audience, optimize content and manage documents consequently.

The tool indexes the social web in real-time to see what target audiences are reading, sharing and discussing online.

It then streams this intelligence into a web-based document editor, providing clear recommendations about the best words and phrases to use to create relevant content. Writers can also measure and optimize their content through interactive feedback mechanisms.
