Celtic Sheepskin, a Newquay (Cornwall), UK-based designer and manufacturer of footwear, outerwear and clothing from natural fibres, has received a private equity investment of undisclosed amount from Piper.
Piper, which focuses on consumer brands, has taken a minority stake in the company and will support the team through the next phase of growth.
Founded over 20 years ago by husband and wife team Nick and Kath Whitworth, Celtic Sheepskin is a direct (mail order and internet) sheepskin outerwear, boots, slippers and home-wares.
The company, which also stocks a range of knitwear and clothing for men, women and children, has sales exceeding £8m.
