Ticketfly Closes $12M Series B Financing

Ticketfly, a San Francisco-based independent ticketing and social marketing company, has closed a $12m Series B financing.
This round, which brings the total aomunt raised by the company to date to $15m, was led by Mohr Davidow Ventures, with participation from existing investors High Peaks Venture Partners, Contour Venture Partners and angel investors Roger Ehrenberg and Howard Lindzon.
Ticketfly completed an initial $3m round in May 2010.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the reach of its platform, which is designed to allow promoters and live entertainment venues to automate the time-consuming tasks associated with event creation and marketing and provide them with rich data analytics.
Ticketfly offers fully-integrated ticketing, social marketing, website management and mobile tools and recently added new features including a database with records for over 70,000 artists, and an integrated email marketing module.
Led by co-founder and CEO Andrew Dreskin, the company serves customers such as the 9:30 Club, Merriweather Post Pavilion, Outback Concerts, Knitting Factory Entertainment, Baltimore Grand Prix, Monqui Presents, Guerilla Union, The Independent, R5 Productions, Austin City Limits Live, Troubadour and the Brooklyn Bowl.
