Roozt.com Closes $250K Seed Funding

Roozt.com, a Los Angeles, CA-based Internet platform designed to connect cause-conscious brands with Gen Y 18-35 year old online shoppers, has completed a $250k seed funding round from undisclosed angel investors.
The company received additional strategic investment from Causecast, a leader in the cause-integration space, representing clients such as Virgin Mobile, AARP, Toyota and Paramount, and The Huffington Post.
Led by CEO and Co-Founder Brent Freeman, Roozt.com is leveraging the fast growth of cause-conscious business in the United States, to enable customers to buy products from socially-responsible companies.
Launched 6 months ago, the site offers daily deals from these businesses to over 50,000 members.
The company recently launched the “Roozt Cause” program: each month the site features a new cause, such as Water, Education, Hunger, or Environment that will be the direct beneficiary of customer purchase donations.
Roozt olso operates satellite offices in San Francisco and New Orleans.
