Project Zebra, a London, UK-based software development house, has raised an undisclosed sum of capital from Cologne, Germany-based venture capital firm Venista Ventures, which focuses on the mobile sector.
The company intends to use the funds to develop location-based applications. As stated by founder and CEO Barry Scott, the agreement ensures the company has the equipment, infrastructure and qualified staff it needs to take its software solutions to the next level.
Project Zebra’s titles include foursqWAR, a location-based app game for iPhone in which players combat with virtual troops for buildings that exist in the actual world.
The game will be released on additional platforms later this year.
