Pixable Closes $3.6M Series B Financing

Pixable, a New York-based service that allows users to search, and organize photos on social networks, has closed a $3.6m Series B financing.
The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Highland Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to further scale its engineering team and infrastructure to manage the increasing traffic across multiple platforms, including Web, iPad, iPhone, and Android devices.
Pixable helps users browse, aggregate and enjoy photos and videos from a variety content sharing sites across their networks, with plans to add more sources in the future.
Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Inaki Berenguer, the company closed a $2.5m Series A financing, led by Highland Capital Partners, in June of 2010.
