CloudPassage, Inc., a San Francisco, Calif.-based security SaaS company, has completed a Series A round of financing of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Benchmark Capital.
In conjunction with the funding, Kevin Harvey, General Partner at Benchmark, will join the company’s board.
Led by co-founder and CEO Carson Sweet, CloudPassage delivers portable, elastic and highly scalable server security capabilities by automatically securing cloud servers when they burst or are cloned.
Its Halo architecture provides automation of multiple server security functions addressing the technical challenges of securing highly dynamic cloud hosting environments where consistent physical location, network control and perimeter security are not guaranteed.
