Capella Intelligent Subsystems Closes $20M Financing

Capella Intelligent Subsystems, a San Jose, California-based provider of wavelength selective switches (WSS) for use in reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) and optical cross connect (OXC) applications, closed a $20m financing.
The round was led by Black Diamond Ventures, with participation from SingTel Innov8, Levensohn Partners, Formative Ventures, Lucas Venture Group and Rustic Canyon Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for product offering expansion and operational improvement.
Founded in 2000, Capella offers patented CRx® and WavePath® products that are designed to simplify network operations and planning, while reducing costs. They are used in both metro and long haul applications.
