Bloom Studio Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based developer of applications on iOS and web platforms that are designed to make social media and streaming media datasets including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram easier to explore and understand, closed a seed round of funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Betaworks, with participation from SV Angel and Stewart Butterfield, co-founder of Flickr.
Founded in 2010 by president Ben Cerveny, Tom Carden, and Jesper Andersen, Bloom Studio is rolling out the first applications later this quarter and is developing small applications that will focus on discovery within streaming audio and video services.
