Movik Networks Raises $25M in Funding

Movik Networks, a Boston, MA-based company focused on developing wireless networking products aimed at enabling an Intelligent Radio Access Network (RAN) for high value content delivery, has raised $25m in funding
The round was led by Oak Investment Partners, with participation from existing investors Highland Capital Partners and Northbridge Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to scale field operations to support its growing deployments and trials worldwide, and to accelerate development of its RAN aware mobile content delivery technology.
Movik’s products are designed to enable wireless operators to more efficiently deliver the ever increasing volume of data resulting from subscriber demands for content on mobile devices.
Led by CEO John St. Amand, the company has an R&D group in Bangalore, India.
