InsideView, a San Francisco, CA-based social selling and sales intelligence provider, has closed a $12m Series C financing.
The round was led by Foundation Capital, with participation from existing investors Emergence Capital Partners, Rembrandt Venture Partners and Greenhouse Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand distribution partnerships, as well as continue to invest in market education, with innovative programs like the recently launched Social Selling University, set up to educate and train sales professionals in how to leverage social media to increase sales effectiveness.
In conjunction with the funding, Foundation Capital General Partner Paul Holland will join InsideView’s board of directors.
Led by CEO Umberto Milletti the company provides a technology that gathers and analyzes information from the most relevant social media, user-contributed and traditional/proprietary editorial sources (including Facebook, Twitter, Thomson Reuters, Capital IQ (a Standard & Poor’s company), Cortera, and NetProspex) to provide insights about companies and contacts directly within CRM, browser, or mobile device. InsideView’s products are used by sales professionals working with over 1,000 companies including Adobe, BMC, Cap Gemini, Experian, and SuccessFactors.
