HomePipe Networks Closes $1.1M in Series A Financing

HomePipe Networks, a Seattle, WA-based provider of a solution to quickly and securely access, view and share digital content, has closed $1.1m in Series A financing from a group of private investors.
Investors include Mark DiSalle, who is founder and chairman of Scout Analytics.
The company intends to use the funds for product enhancements and programs aimed at accelerating the HomePipe subscriber base.
Co-founded by CEO Chris Hopen, and CTO Parvez Anandam, HomePipe allows mobile consumers and professionals to quickly and securely access, view and share digital content (e.g. high resolution photos, videos, presentations, documents, and music) stored on a computer from any Web browser or mobile device including Apple iPhone® and iPad™, Google® Android™, and Windows® Phone 7, without more cloud storage, uploading, syncing, organizing or complex software and hardware installations requiring additional fees.
The service’s web application is available as a free edition that gives full access to the service, but limits the number of uses. The premium edition provides unlimited use for a $23.99 annual subscription. The mobile app is downloadable directly from the app store for Apple iPhone and iPad, Google Android and Windows Phone 7.
