Dataguise Raises $3.25M

Dataguise, a Freemont, CA-based provider of proactive security solutions for protecting sensitive data across the enterprise, has raised $3.25m in additional financing in December 2010.
The round, which was led by Herb Madan, with participation from existing investors, brings the total financing for Series A to $7.3m.
The company intends to use the funds to bring its enterprise security intelligence management system to market, and expanding its current database security portfolio, which includes a comprehensive database security software for advanced sensitive data discovery and data masking.
Led by President and CEO Manmeet Singh, Dataguise provides customers with products that are designed to provide proactive risk-based enterprise security intelligence and remedies for securing personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data located in structured database repositories across distributed enterprise environments.
Products in production include DgDiscover™ and DgMasker™ which quickly determine where sensitive information resides throughout the enterprise and de-identify data targeted for use outside of the production network.
Customers include from mid-tier healthcare providers, large banking and financial services organizations, federal agencies and institutions of higher education.
