Attachments.me Raises $500,000 Seed Funding from Foundry Group

Attachments.me, a San Francisco based-developer of a natural-language based platform to extract information from attachments and links contained within a user’s email store, has raised a $500,000 seed round of funding from Foundry Group.

The company plans to use the capital to hire and ramp up development of its email enhancement tool, which enables easy access to data hidden within email systems.
Attachments.me is working to allow users to connect more services and pull even more useful structured data from personal inboxes and enable them to access the tool from everywhere.
The service allows to search by subject matter embedded in links and attachments, and browse by content type. The results will include not just data in the email body itself, but in the attachments and links themselves.
The company was co-founded by Jesse Miller, Benjamin Coe, and Joe Stump, who is also a co-founder of SimpleGeo.
