MyCityWay, a New York-based start up that operates an interactive app for urban exploration and discovery on mobile devices, has received a strategic investment from BMW i Ventures.
MyCityWay is designed to help users navigate and explore the cities of the world. For example, it allows to find restaurants, locate wireless hotspots, buy tickets, connect with other users to share info about the city, including public transportation, parking availability, and local entertainment.
The app is currently available for over 40 cities in the US and another 40 cities will be part of the global rollout with the support of BMW i Ventures.
Launched on Monday, February 21, 2011, BMW i Ventures is a New York City-based venture capital firm, which aims to invest in projects which have high potential in the field of mobility services.
