Chemical Information Services (CIS), a Dallas, Texas-based provider of information services to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries in more than 140 countries worldwide, has been aquired by glendonTodd Capital LLC, a private investment firm that focuses on middle market technology-enabled business services companies, and other investors.
The acquistion, from media company Vendome Group, was supported by The F&M Bank & Trust Company as senior lender and BIA Digital Partners as mezzanine investment provider.
CIS serves procurement and sourcing specialists through its proprietary Directory of World Chemical Producers (DWCP) and other databases.
Recently, the company has partnered with Becker & Associates to launch the Future Generics database, which is designed to provide a resource for life science molecules from discovery to market.
