Brainglass Closes SEK16.85M First Equity Funding Round

Brainglass, a Swedish mobile learning app developer, has closed a SEK16.85m (approximately $2.5m/€1.9m) first round of equity funding.
The round was led by Marc Beuls, with participation from Markus Berger-De León, ALMI Invest Stockholm AB and Sting Capital AB.
Led by CEO and founder Niss Jonas Carlsson, Brainglass develops learning experiences, which are made available via mobile devices and social media.
The company’s first app, the karaoke4english AUDIOBOOK READER, which will be available in app stores in early April, wants to represent an innovative way of learning languages where the user listens to the audio while the visual text is marked up in the same pace as the reading.
