Stoke, Inc., a Santa Clara CA-based mobile broadband gateway provider, has received $17m in Series E funding.
The round, which was led by new investor Focus Ventures, with participation from existing investors DAG Ventures, Integral Capital Partners, Pilot House Ventures, Net One Systems Co., DoCoMo Capital Ltd, Mobile Internet Capital, Inc, Sequoia Capital, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, brings the company’s total funding to date to approximately $92m.
The company intends to use the funds to support its installed base, plus new LTE and 3G network optimization projects with top tier carriers in Europe, Asia and the U.S.
Led by President and CEO Vikash Varma, Stoke delivers solutions for 3G mobile broadband and LTE core infrastructures, which are designed to enable mobile operators realize the economic benefits and competitive advantages of network convergence.
The company also has an Indian subsidiary (STOKE Networks Pvt. Ltd), which is based in Bangalore.
