KnowledgeVision Systems Closes $2M Series A Financing

KnowledgeVision Systems, a Concord, Massachusetts-based creator of tools and services for creating online, on-demand and live multimedia presentations, has closed $2m in Series A financing from a group of investors led by GrandBanks Capital.
The funds will be used to expand software tool and service offerings, and to accelerate market development activities worldwide.
In conjunction with the funding, Jeffrey P. Parker, CEO of Thomson Financial, co-founder of First Call and CCBN.com, and Charles R. Lax, a venture capitalist, join the company’s Board of Directors.
KnowledgeVision Systems’ KVStudio, subscription-based software allows users to synchronize video or audio, PowerPoint and other images, footnotes, and virtual handouts into interactive presentation experiences, which are used by technology, healthcare, financial services, retail, professional services, and not-for-profit organizations worldwide for sales and marketing, training and professional development, and communications with customers, employees, and investors.
The company is led by CEO and President Michael E. Kolowich.
