GlobalTranz Closes $10M First Round of Financing led by Volition Capital

GlobalTranz, a Phoenix, Arizona-based logistics management firm specializing in carrier, supply chain and warehouse management, has closed its $10m first institutional round of financing led by Volition Capital.
The company intends to use the funds for working capital needs and growth investments across different verticals.
In conjunction with the financing, Larry Cheng, Managing Partner of Volition Capital, will join GlobalTranz’s Board of Directors. Sean Cantwell, Principal of Volition Capital, will serve as an observer.
Founded in 2003 and led by CEO Andrew Leto, GlobalTranz operates a network of sales agents, who serve local to national accounts with its proprietary Transportation Management System, CarrierRate.com.
The system is designed to optimize the flow and storage of merchandise as goods and materials move within the supply chain.
