ubigrate Secures “Significant Amount of Capital” in Second Financing Round

ubigrate GmbH, a Dresden Germany-based software company that specializes in business activity monitoring (BAM) in production and logistics, has secured a “significant amount of capital” in its second financing round.
Investors include existing shareholders High-Tech Gründerfonds as well as new backers sympasis innovation capital and KfW-Bankengruppe.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its products, expand sales activity and set up a network of distributors. ubigrate will also create an expert service department. The company’s software products record process information in real time, evaluate it and provide customers with transparency in logistics and production processes. The range encompasses standard products for container management and cold chain monitoring, which can also be used on demand. ubigrate develops specific solutions together with OEM partners.
In conjunction with the transaction, the company formed an investors’ advisory board, which is designed to strengthen coordination between the ubigrate management team and the investors. It includes Dr Manfred Spindler, Romy Schnelle (High-Tech Gründerfonds) and Frank Kresse (business angel and investor, sympasis innovation capital GmbH).
Established in 2008 as a spin-off from SAP Research Dresden, ubigrate employs 15 people at its offices in Dresden, Dortmund and Karlsruhe.
