Sungevity , an Oakland, CA-based provider of residential solar installations, has raised an additional $15m in Series C funding.
The round was led by existing investors Greener Capital and Firelake Capital and new investor Brightpath Capital Partners.
Sungevity, which has raised to date over $25m, will use these funds to open new markets.
The company already expanded into Southern California, Arizona, and Colorado.
Founded by Danny Kennedy, Sungevity has designed an online sales process to facilitate homeowners to install solar panels. Its online “iQuote” process uses satellite images and aerial photography to assess customers’ roofs remotely and accurately determine the homes’ solar potential.
