Standing Cloud Closes $3M Series B Financing

Standing Cloud, a Boulder, CO-based provider of a cloud application management platform, has closed a $3m Series B financing round.
The round was led by Avalon Ventures, with participation from Foundry Group.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its development and marketing efforts for its cloud application network, which aims to bring together end users, applications and their plug-ins, cloud infrastructure providers and solution providers.
Standing Cloud’s application management software is designed to make it easy to deploy and manage applications with reliability and control, using cloud technology. Target customers include small businesses users who want to deploy applications on their own, and solution providers or IT professionals.
In conjunction with the funding, Avalon managing member Rich Levandov will join Standing Cloud’s board of directors.
Founded in 2009 by CEO David J. Jilk, the company has offices in San Diego and Boston.
