FitnessKeeper Inc., a Boston, MA-based company that is developing a smartphone application that enables runners, cyclists, hikers, etc. to track their outdoor fitness, has raised $1.11m in financing.
This round, which was led by new investor O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures (OATV), brings the total amount raised by FitnessKeeper to date to $1.51m. LaunchCapital and prominent angels also participated in the round.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to build RunKeeper and hire new staff.
The application allows iPhone and Android device owners to track the time, distance, speed, pace, calories, and path on a map for their fitness activities.
