Moblyng Raises $7.5M

Moblyng, a Redwood City, CA-based publisher and developer of HTML5 games for mobile devices and social networks, has raised nearly $7.5m in funding, according to a regulatory filing with SEC.
According to the filing, the proceeds from the equity financing will be used for general working capital.
Led by founder and CEO Stewart Putney, the company partners with game developers and media companies with established brands who want to create or extend social games to Facebook, MySpace, iPhone, Android, WebOS and Nokia/Symbian.
It uses HTML5 scripting APIs — including JavaScript, CSS, canvas and drag-and-drop.
Moblyng is backed by Mohr Davidow Ventures, Deep Fork Capital, management and angel investors.
