Gazzang Secures $3.5M in Series A Funding

Gazzang, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based cloud infrastructure software company, has secured $3.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Austin Ventures with participation from a group of smaller individual investors.
In conjunction with the funding, software industry veteran Larry Warnock, has joined Gazzang as CEO.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its management solutions. Gazzang plans to extend its core management capabilities to the entire LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack including application, presentation and operating system layers.
Its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions are designed to help organizations address the inherent risk associated with open source software tools, from data encryption of MySQL databases to migrate all the way up the LAMP stack.
