Clustrix Raises $12M in Series B Financing Round

Clustrix, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of Clustered Database Systems (CDS) for Internet-scale applications, has raised $12m in a Series B financing round.

Investors in the round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $30m, include U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), Sequoia Capital and ATA Ventures.
Clustrix intends to use the funds to expand sales, marketing and product development.
Led by founder and CEO Paul Mikesell, the company delivers a solution, the Series 4000 product family, that combines the high scalability of NoSQL key-value stores with the robust relational database functionality of SQL.
