Barrett Xplore Inc., a Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada-based provider of 4G wireless and satellite broadband services to rural Canada, has received a $10m equity investment from Catalyst Investors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue its expand its customer base and prepare the launch of two next-generation satellites, which will offer significant increases in speed and capacity.
In conjunction with the investment, Catalyst partner Chris Shipman will join Barrett’s Board of Directors.
Led by CEO John Maduri, Barrett Xplore operates Xplornet Internet Services, Canada’s largest rural broadband provider, with customers and dealers in every province and territory.
