Appconomy Closes $1.5M First Funding Round
Appconomy, an Austin, Texas-based start up that designs, develops and sells mobile apps and components, closed its $1.5m first funding round.
The proceeds from the investment, which was led by True Ventures, will enable the company to accelerate its entry into the mobile apps market for business and work based apps.
Founded and led by seasoned business software start-up veterans, Appconomy aims to create new mobile applications for the iPhone, iPad and Android device market to solve the challenges of people involved in their daily, especially out of office/home activities.
For enterprises looking to provide apps to customers and employees, the company provides services from mobility strategy through app development.
Appconomy is to launch its first app, which is designed to help users stay connected to those people they work and interact with most frequently. For each group, the app allows to monitor the feeds of members from multiple social networks and communicate with the group or any individual directly in the app or via email, text messages, phone, or social messaging.
