AltoBeam Closes $6M Series C Funding

AltoBeam, a Beijing, China-based developer of advanced DTV demodulators, has closed a $6m Series C funding.
The round was led by US Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors DFJ DragonFund, Tano Capital, and PYJ-Dynasty Venture Fund.
In conjunction with the funding, Irwin Federman and David Liddle, partners of USVP and joined AltoBeam’s board of directors.
The company, which designs digital TV receiver chipset, established R&D center in Beijing Tsinghua Science Park. Its management team has accumulated many years of product experience in wireless communications, ASIC design, analog and RF IC design in companies including Atheros, Qualcomm etc.
