According to local reports, X2Tv, an Italian based mobile company, has received a €3.5m in equity financing from venture capital firm Quantica.
With the investment, which was made via the Principia II fund, Quantica is reported to take a 40% stake in the company.
X2TV, a business unit of BEEWEEB S.p.A., a company specialized in design, development and management of mobile services and solutions, operates an entertainment service accessible from fixed or mobile terminals, accompanying “in parallel” radio or TV programmes.
During the course of the programme, the service provides advanced content and news accessible from devices connected to the internet, equipped with a X2TV client and that have an internet browser.
The application is currently available on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and for smart phones using the Android operating system.
It was also reported that the company would be headquartered in Cagliari.
