Retailigence Raises $1.5M in Seed Financing

Retailigence, Inc., a Palo Alto, CA-based startup that supplies mobile apps and websites with retailers’ product-specific information by location, has raised $1.5M in seed financing.

Investors include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Quest Venture Partners, 500 Startups LLC, ZIG Capital, Global Brain Corporation, Mark Schulze, Eghosa Omoigui and Tom Chiu.
Founded in 2009 as part of the Founder Institute incubation program, the company aims to provide platform-independent shopping data to consumers and brand management combined with analytics for local retailers.
Retailigence has developed an open Application Programming Interface (API) for existing and new mobile and web applications. It can work with any mobile shopping application, location-based service (such as Google® Maps, Foursquare™ and Gowalla™) or GPS.
