Ortiva Wireless, a La Jolla, CA-based provider of scalable, dynamic mobile video optimization solutions, has raised $8m in its Series C financing.
The round was led by Intel Capital (INTC), with participation from existing investors Comcast Interactive Capital, Artiman Ventures, and Mission Ventures.
Ortiva intends to use the funds to expand sales, marketing, and engineering activities.
Ortiva’s flagship soltutions include:
– iVOG™ (internet Video Optimization Gateway), which is a video optimization platform designed for wireless operators to improve network efficiency and reduce bandwidth consumption, while improving end‐user experience. It is deployed as a proxy service in the operator network.
– mVOG® (mobile Video Optimization Gateway), which is a server–based mobile optimization solution. It optimizes multimedia content for delivery to mobile subscribers.
