MyShape Raises $5.5M in Funding

MyShape, a Los Angeles, CA-based operator of a personalized shopping website for women’s apparel, has raised $5.5m in funding.
Investors include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Tenaya Capital and Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth Fund.
Founded in 2006, MyShape plans to use the funding to grow its operations, further develop its technology and build out its product assortment.
The company’s patented technology (called ShapeMatch™) allows to match women with items that correspond to their personal body measurements, body shape, fit and style preferences. MyShape also unveiled a newly designed and improved website and added new designer partners including eBags, Her Room, Rafaella, Farinaz, La Grande Dame, Tehama, Julianna Rae, Altitude Fasique, Biatta, Essendi, and Jonano.
The company’s team include technology, e-commerce, fashion and retail industry veterans from Charming Shoppes, Tommy Hilfiger, Robinsons-May/Meier & Frank and Yahoo!.
