Medical Gas Solutions Ltd, a Flintshire, UK-based medical gas supplier, has raised £1m in a second debt and equity financing round led by Finance Wales.
The company supplies medical oxygen and Nitronox (analgesic) gases in high-pressure, lightweight carbon fibre-wrapped aluminium cylinders to the NHS and Ambulance Trusts across the UK.
The company will use the proceeds from the investment to launch its new portable multi-patient medical oxygen delivery system (MPU), which was developed in conjunction with NHS emergency services to allows emergency teams, first aiders and healthcare professionals to deal with casualties following a major incident.
This investment follows an earlier £1.5m equity and debt investment by Finance Wales to support MGS’ growth plans. The company currently employs around 35 people at its 10,000 square feet-plant in Flint.
