H.BLOOM, Inc., a New York-based online locally-focused flower subscription service, has raised $2.1m in Series A financing.
The round was led by Battery Ventures, with participation from existing investors. Previously this year, the company raised $1.1m from prominent angels in New York.
H.BLOOM intends to use the new capital to focus on three important areas:
– to continue to build its team;
– to invest in sales and marketing;
– to expand to a second market – Washington, D.C., later this year.
The company currently serves Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn, Long Island City, NY, and Hoboken and Jersey City in New Jersey.
H.BLOOM is focused on delivering luxurious bouquets to both residential and business customers at approximately 70% off and sooner than traditional retailers.
