BlackArrow Receives Strategic Investment from Motorola Ventures

BlackArrow, a New York City and San Jose, Calif.-based provider of advanced advertising solutions for new television platforms, has received a strategic investment of undisclosed amount from Motorola Ventures.
This investment represents an extension of the company’s $20m Series C funding.
BlackArrow intends to use the additional capital for new product development and worldwide deployment of its Advanced Advertising System to networks and New TV content distributors.
The company operates a multiplatform advertising system that is designed specifically for video content distributed over any on-demand platform (video-on-demand, DVR, mobile devices and broadband) and to enable networks and content distributors to maximize advertising revenues.
As part of this collaboration, the two companies also will develop integrated addressable media and advertising solutions for set-top boxes and mobile devices, as well as cloud-based, hosted video services and IP video delivery.
Motorola Ventures is the strategic investment arm of Motorola Mobility, Inc., a subsidiary of Motorola, Inc., (NYSE: MOT).
