Asian Business Exhibition & Conferences Ltd (ABECL), an India-based exhibitions and conferences organizer, has received an equity investment from a Qatar investment bank QInvest.With the transaction, QInvest has acquired a 28% stake and will take a seat on the company’s board of directors.
ABECL intends to use the proceeds from the investment to further expand its operations in India and to establish an international presence.
Founded in 1994, the company has established itself as a leading player in the trade exhibition sector in India. Its portfolio comprises exhibitions and events spread across 9 industry verticals, including ICT, Education, Realty and Lifestyle.
ABECL operates offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi.
