Zuberance Raises $8M in Series B Funding

Zuberance, a San Carlos, CA-based operator of a marketing platform that is designed to energize buyers (Brand Advocates) on social media, has received $8m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Canaan Partners, with participation from existing investor Emergence Capital Partners and Correlation Ventures, which had led the company’s $4m Series A funding in November 2008.
In conjunction with the funding, Deepak Kamra, General Partner, Canaan Partners, has joined Zuberance’s board of directors.
The company will use the funds to further enhance product innovation, and expand sales and marketing. Its hosted “word of mouth” marketing platform enables companies to identify and boost consumers and business buyers, who frequently recommend brands and products without being paid to do it on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Amazon, Yelp, brand websites, mobile devices, and others, to drive qualified leads, traffic, and sales.
Zuberance, which currently employs 30 people, serves leading consumer and business brands worldwide.
