Sharethrough Secures $5M Series A Funding

Sharethrough, a San Francisco, Calif.-based provider of social video advertising solutions, has closed a $5m Series A equity financing round.
The round was led by North Bridge Venture Partners and Floodgate, with participation from angel investors including industry veteran Ron Conway, entrepreneur and angel investor Ron Bouganim, customer development guru Steve Blank, and Rapleaf CEO Auren Hoffman.
In conjunction with the funding, Cali Tran will join Sharethrough’s board of directors.
The Sharethrough video distribution platform and network is designed to offer advertisers a performance-based system that guarantees video views as well as optimize for sharing through its social video ad units, social publisher network and targeting and reporting technology.
Customers include Sony, Xbox, GM, Activision, Nestle and LEGO, and has more campaigns than any other company on AdAge’s weekly Top Viral Video Chart.
Sharethrough was founded in 2008 by Dan Greenberg and Robert Fan.
